who doesn’t like parties? No one right? That’s why there are party crashers!!! Just kidding. For me the best part in parties beside good music, meeting family and friends, even new faces is FOOD.
Everyone’s favorite traits at parties, including myself are the cream cheese mints. You are right, you will have the successful recipe to make the most mouthwatering, melt-in-your-mouth sweet mints.
Without further ado let’s get to it.
Cooking time: no cooking needed
Preparation time: 10 min
servings: about 80
- 8 oz package of cream cheese, full fat, softened
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 2 lbs powdered sugar
- 1 – 2 tsp mint extract
- 3 or 4 gel food colorings
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar for rolling mints
In a food processor, mix cream cheese, butter and the powdered sugar. Processes until you have a combined dough.
Add the mint extract. Process till well incorporated.
Divide the dough into 4 or 3 separate bowls, then add the food coloring.
Knead the mixture until well incorporated.
Place the dough on a powdered-sugar-dusted workplace. Then start making small balls.
Transfer the balls into waxed paper.
Flatten each ball with the tip of fork.
Let stand uncovered to dry. About 2 hours or until firm
N.B: for storage use airtight containers and refrigerate.
